Libraries in Wales – Free Resources

The ‘Libraries for Life’ programme has created a useful portal for all library users in Wales. While it does have  Public Library slant, its resources are free to use for everybody. It provides a personalised newsfeed home page, useful links with a Welsh interest for travel, statitistics & reference, homework help and family history.

In conjunction to the Online Resources already provided by Coleg Llandrillo library for students via Athens, this site also has –

  • Database of National and Regional Newspapers through NewsUK-see the college library blog for local news
  • Opening times and maps of local public libraries
  • Ask Cymru – Online reference questions answered by a network of librarians
  • KnowUK (also in college) for local community information
