Welcome you all to Health Literacy Month at Chat Literacy.
To inspire our reflections and invite responses, a series of articles focusing on key aspects of health literacy will be posted on Chat Literacy throughout July. You are invited to respond to the issues raised by posting comments to the articles. You are welcome to use the space to raise questions of your own and to invite discussion from one another.
Themes for the month include:
Supporting the development of evidence-informed intervention and practice with student health practitioners and student researchers training to become specialists. The role of librarians in advancing Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) and Evidence Based Health Care (EBHC) amongst healthcare professionals and in partnership with other key stakeholders. The importance of critical public health literacy in developing community participation towards a people-centred public health system.
